The Lee Kong Chian NUS-Stanford Initiative on Southeast Asia, founded in 2007, establishes a Distinguished Visiting Fellowship on Southeast Asia to help advance scholarly and policy-relevant consideration of this region. The Fellowship provides an expert on Southeast Asia the opportunity to spend a period of up to a year writing and conducting research on or related to contemporary Southeast Asia. Each Fellow will divide his or her time as appropriate between residence at the National University of Singapore and at Stanford University. Fellows may expect to share their research findings in academic seminars and professional forums. Fellows may be of any nationality.
